CHARITABLE GIVING

In response to the 2004 tsunami disaster, Silvermere America LLC organized a donation drive in cooperation with the Basilica of St. Mary Church in downtown Minneapolis to benefit children in Sri Lanka displaced by the tsunami disaster. Rather than money, physical items were requested such as: school supplies, books, notebooks, pencils, pens, crayons, coloring books, children’s toys and baby supplies. These items are intended to help undersupplied primary education programs where caregivers may have little to provide. The 3 week drive in January 2005 collected over 1,000 lbs of donated items including school supplies as well as toys and baby supplies to help caregivers provide for younger children.

This successful effort was made possible thanks to all who participated in the drive including volunteers & parishioners at the Basilica of Saint Mary, Honeywell Corporation Ridgeway Facility, Molin Concrete Products Company, MSP International Airport, and The Saint Vincent De-Paul Program.
